Data Engineer III at Walmart, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures that support business analytics and decision-making. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement data strategies aligned with enterprise goals, leveraging advanced technologies such as Apache Spark and cloud platforms. What you'll do:- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support business analytics and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data sources, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with governance standards.
- Build and optimize data models, data lakes, and warehouses using SQL, Apache Spark, and cloud-based platforms.
- Implement data ingestion and integration solutions leveraging big data technologies such as Apache Kafka and distributed storage systems.
- Analyze complex data flows and propose improvements to enhance system performance and data accessibility.
- Support deployment, testing, and documentation of data engineering solutions aligned with enterprise data strategy.
What you'll bring:- Extensive experience in data engineering, including data transformation, modeling, and pipeline development.
- Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar for code development and testing.
- Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data ingestion techniques, and big data technologies like Apache Spark and Kafka.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security.
- Ability to design and implement scalable data architectures, including data lakes and warehouses.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern data integration methods.
- Demonstrated capability to analyze complex data flows and develop efficient data models.
