PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

MWI Veterinary Supply Company - Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information. Recognize and resolve conflicts between data models, ensuring they are consistent with the enterprise model. Perform high level modeling of key program processes and key data entities, ensuring integration of the project logical data model into the enterprise conceptual data model and that physical models align with the logical data model. Review and approve logical data models, ensures consistent and stable delta processing for data loads, and work with the Delivery Management team to understand potential impacts to physical/virtual infrastructure and assist with remediation planning. Develop technical designs of complex data sourcing, transformation, and aggregation logic. Ensure data is clean, consistent, and synchronized across platforms and oversee the design and implementation of data cleansing procedures. Ensure consistent and stable delta processing for data loads and work with others to determine analytics data consumption alternatives and recommend optimal approach based on analytics requirements. Verify that data access mechanisms satisfy analytics consumption needs, as well as transfer knowledge of data access/consumption mechanisms to business stakeholders, data visualization specialists and/or data scientists. Conducts unit testing to ensure business analytics solutions meet user specifications. Research internal and external data sources for new data and better sources of data feeds. Lead the identification of areas affecting data integrity and coordinates corrective actions. Identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best way to correct data, identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex datasets. Work with stakeholders to gather requirements on merging, de-duping, and cleansing rules. Support activities to prepare existing metadata for mapping and loading into metadata repository. #LI-DNI

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related quantitative field, along with five years of experience in a data processing position. Experience must include: Utilizing the Microsoft development stack, Azure DevOps, Logic Apps, SQL Studio, Azure Data Lake & Storage Explorer, Azure Service Bus, Visual Studio, Azure Data Factory, Control Framework, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI, and Azure Event Hub; extracting, transforming, and loading of production animal database structures from Accu-Trac, Pro Control, and Stocker1 systems into data product solutions; and utilizing Kafka, Python, SQL, and databricks to design, build, and manage Snowflake, Tableau, Azure Data Warehouse, and Synapse data product solutions. Telework permitted within commuting distance 2 days/week.
