Full Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager. This role will operate at cross section between multiple divisional personnel, senior leadership, program management, and key stakeholders. This position will be on site in Charlotte, NC.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end management of workplace construction and renovation projects from
• concept through occupancy.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource planning.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Oversee tenant improvements (TI), office renovations, workplace modernization initiatives,
• and infrastructure upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, environmental
• requirements, and corporate standards.
• Strategic planning of office and labs.
• Manage contractor selection, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and project execution.
• Monitor construction progress, conduct site inspections, and resolve project issues
• proactively.
• Track project budgets, approve invoices, manage change orders, and provide financial
• reporting.
• Partner with Facilities, IT, Security, EHS, HR, and business leaders to ensure successful project deliver.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• BA/BS plus eight years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with hyperscale mission critical/data center construction projects.
• PMP or similar certifications preferred.
• 20 years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of quality and safety culture, regulatory compliance, assurance, and governance expectations.
• OSHA 30 certification with experience creating a strong safety culture.
