Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Data Analyst 1 to join our Data & Analytics team in Langley, BC.

Reporting to the Lead Data Engineer, the Data Analyst 1 role supports business decision-making through data analysis, reporting, and insight generation. This position works closely with business stakeholders to understand key questions, translate them into analytical approaches, and deliver clear, actionable insights.

This role contributes to a range of initiatives across areas such as customer analytics, loyalty, marketing, retail operations, and merchandising. Using large and complex datasets, the Data Analyst 1 helps identify trends, measure outcomes, support experimentation, and uncover opportunities to drive business value.

You will be responsible for: (Responsibilities)
  • Partnering with business stakeholders to understand priorities, business questions, processes, and KPIs.
  • Analyzing data to generate insights that support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Building reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
  • Maintaining dashboards, reports, and other data assets in production to support their ongoing accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  • Writing SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and prepare data for analysis and reporting.
  • Using Python and notebook-based tools for exploratory analysis, data wrangling, and statistical work where needed.
  • Supporting the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments such as A/B testing and other hypothesis-driven analyses.
  • Validating, troubleshooting, and improving data used in reporting and analysis.
  • Working with large datasets in cloud-based or modern analytics environments.
  • Supporting the governance, administration, and cost optimization of data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Collaborating with data and cross-functional partners to support reporting, analysis, and business needs.
  • Identifying trends, opportunities, and actionable recommendations through thoughtful analysis.
  • Building knowledge of core datasets, reporting logic, and business context within the assigned analytics domain.
  • Supporting broader Data & Analytics team priorities and cross-functional projects as required.


You have: (Requirements)
  • A degree in a relevant field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant background in data analytics, business analytics, reporting, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying and transforming data.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Databricks AI/BI, Tableau, or similar visualization and reporting tools.
  • Ability to build dashboards or reports that support business decision-making.
  • Exposure to large or complex datasets.
  • Working knowledge of Python for data analysis is preferred.
  • Exposure to experimentation, test design, or statistical analysis is an asset.
  • Familiarity with data modeling or data quality validation is an asset.
  • Exposure to cloud data environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is an asset.
  • Experience working with Databricks is an asset.

Compensation Details:
$75,509.00 - $94,387.00
The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience and other factors.
