Description

SAIC is seeking a DAG Technical Engineer to provide onsite systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services in support of an SAIC Prime Program at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, VA.

As the DAG Systems Engineer you will apply technical expertise to support key business areas and national security objectives for multiple major satellite acquisition programs.

The role requires comprehensive administrative and programmatic support to the program office leadership on a wide variety of actions and taskings, providing high quality engineering advisory services.

We are looking for a self-directed individual who can skillfully navigate ambiguity, solve complex challenges, and bring diverse expertise to a dynamic office environment.

Responsibilities to include:
  • Use experience and technical expertise to support assessing requirements, designing, executing, developing, and integrating technical solutions
  • Provide subject matter expertise support in meetings, technical working groups, technical exchange meetings
  • Assist in development and revisions of systems technical documentation during system development
  • Interface with various levels of program leadership: project managers, task and functional leaders, and product owners
  • Coordinate logistics for international meetings, conferences, and diplomatic engagements
  • Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and background documents for international engagements
  • Facilitate information sharing across organizational units and external partners
  • Support development of reports, assessments, and strategic planning documents
  • Identify and assign actions to the correct stakeholders; maintain awareness of the status of response and coordinate with the stakeholders on the draft/final product to submit for review
  • Track and report on internal and external actions, provide summaries, and facilitate the program office action tracking process
  • Partner with the program office personnel to address urgent gaps and resolve challenges that impact the programs
  • Support to SPO launch visitors program including logistics, personnel processing, Distinguished Visitor's management and coordination for Distinguished Visitor's from other Ds & Os.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with ability to obtain Poly
  • Demonstrated experience managing client action tracking system(s) ensuring responses to daily action items as well as progress on actions
  • Proficient at generating metrics
  • Ability to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines
  • Experienced in preparing periodic reports on action status
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications; ability to implement and/or use an action tracking system
  • Demonstrated ability to work in high visibility customer office, satellite preferred
  • Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment with no supervision
