About the Role

The D&C Inventory Advisor is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and cost-effective management of inventory to support drilling, completion, project, and operational activities across International Operations and GWS assets. The role focuses on maintaining material readiness, optimizing inventory holdings, and ensuring alignment with forecast demand while meeting business, compliance, and operational performance objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with International GWS Drilling and Completions teams to ensure material readiness for upcoming campaigns and operational activities.
  • Develop and maintain inventory strategies tailored to reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
  • Coordinate material readiness reviews and facilitate planning routines with operational stakeholders.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive inventory optimization and operational performance.
  • Promote standardization, process discipline, and continuous improvement opportunities across inventory management processes.
  • Support physical stocktake programs and ensure inventory accuracy across Woodside-managed, vendor-held, and third-party storage locations.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and WMS standards, assurance requirements, joint venture obligations, and inventory governance standards.
  • Provide inventory expertise and support for business inquiries, audits, assurance reviews, and operational planning activities.
  • Contribute to initiatives that improve inventory visibility, forecasting accuracy, and cost efficiency.
  • Interface closely with Supply sub-functions to ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Manage material disposals and subsequent sales to 3rd party buyers in support of inventory optimization strategies


Skills and Experience

  • 3-5+ years experience in oil and gas industry, Drilling & Completions support a plus
  • Experience in Warehouse, Inventory and Logistics
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
