Full Job Description
Razor is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Defense Client Data Center (DMDC) Cyber PRIMES program by implementing, maintaining, and enhancing cybersecurity capabilities across complex Department of Defense enterprise environments. The role focuses on security engineering, vulnerability management, risk reduction, security tool integration, compliance, and operational support to protect mission-critical IT systems supporting thousands of network and endpoint devices.

Education & Certification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Relevant DoD 8140 certifications and industry certifications are preferred and may be required based on program requirements.

Clearance Requirements: Active DoD Secret clearance required. Some positions may require Top Secret/SCI clearance. U.S. Citizenship required.

Location: Seaside, CA or Alexandria, VA (Mark Center). Flexible for occasional telework; candidates must reside locally.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise cybersecurity solutions supporting Department of Defense information systems
  • Support cybersecurity engineering initiatives across network, endpoint, cloud, and application environments
  • Implement security controls and technical safeguards in accordance with NIST, RMF, and DoD cybersecurity requirements
  • Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, including security control implementation, assessment, and continuous monitoring
  • Configure, integrate, and maintain cybersecurity tools used for vulnerability management, endpoint protection, monitoring, and compliance
  • Analyze security findings and develop recommendations to reduce cyber risk across enterprise environments
  • Support vulnerability assessments, remediation efforts, and security compliance initiatives
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity architects, system administrators, software developers, and infrastructure teams to integrate security throughout the system lifecycle
  • Troubleshoot security-related issues and support incident response and remediation activities
  • Develop technical documentation, security implementation procedures, and engineering recommendations
  • Support enterprise cybersecurity modernization and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:
  • Experience implementing and supporting enterprise cybersecurity solutions
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal cybersecurity environments
  • Knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and cybersecurity compliance requirements
  • Experience with vulnerability management, endpoint security, security monitoring, and system hardening
  • Experience configuring or supporting enterprise cybersecurity tools and technologies
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, networking, identity management, and enterprise security principles
  • Experience performing security assessments and supporting remediation activities
  • Ability to analyze technical issues and recommend practical cybersecurity solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, mission-focused environment

Desired Skills:
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Security+, CySA+, CASP+, CISSP, or other DoD 8140-compliant certifications
  • Experience supporting large-scale Department of Defense enterprise environments
  • Experience with eMASS, ACAS, Microsoft Defender, HBSS, SIEM platforms, endpoint detection and response (EDR), or vulnerability management tools
  • Experience supporting DevSecOps or cloud security initiatives
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and enterprise cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity monitoring, compliance, and risk reduction activities
