an Associate Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in
Huntsville, AL.
Position Overview: The selected Engineer will support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor responsible for providing technical contributions and guidance to software products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 0-1 years of work experience
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.
- Applicants must be actively pursuing DoD 8140/8570 certification (e.g. Security+ CE).
- Project experience in the development of complex systems.
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent written and communication skills.
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions.
- Applicants must be capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
- Applicants must possess knowledge of Agile software development methodologies, object-oriented architecture, software integration and testing.
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in a STEM-based, Cyber Engineering discipline.
- Applicants must have project and team leadership experience.
- Knowledge of System Security Engineering IAW NIST SP 800-128, NIST SP 800-160, and NIST SP 800-171.
- Experience in complex security architectures.
- 1 year of experience with DevSecOps methodologies.
- The ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Currently possess a COMPTIA Security+ certification.
Primary Level Salary Range: $76,200.00 - $114,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
