ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a Mid Level Sys Admin tosupport our Atlantis Program contract at the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) facility in San Diego, CA.
As a Mid Level Sys Admin you will support tasks to continue current operations, support the planned growth as determined by life cycle support, maintenance and sustainment, system administration support, upgrade and logistics support of the Joint Cross Domain Exchange (JCDX) system, networked and deployed globally in support of U.S. Sponsors.
Responsibilities may include:
- Proficient-level troubleshooting of:
- Windows OS internals (drivers, registry, event logs).
- Networking fundamentals and intermediate concepts (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routes, VPN tunnels).
- Enterprise software environments and integrations.
- Networking Fundamentals: Working knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, VLANs, ACLs, and basic network troubleshooting.
- System troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve operating system, networking, and hardware/software issues using command-line tools, logs, and standard troubleshooting methodologies.
- Technical Documentation: Ability to document system configuration, procedures, troubleshooting steps, and changes in a clear and organized manner.
Qualifications
Required
- Clearance: Secret Clearance and must be able to obtain a TS/SCI
- Education: 2 years experience with a BS/BA or 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- 2 years of experience in help desk, desktop support, or systems support.
- Linux Administration: Working knowledge of installing, configuring, navigating, and maintaining Linux-based operating systems and environments.
- Linux Command Line & Scripting: Proficiency with the Linux command line and shell environments. Ability to develop and utilize scripts for system administration, automation, and troubleshooting using Bash, Python, and/or Go
Desired
- Bachelors Degree in STEM related field or 4 years of relevant experience in Software Development.
- Networking Fundamentals - Working knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, VLANs, ACLs, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Cisco Networking, Ability to configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches, including configuring IP addresses, routes, interfaces, VLANs, and ACLs
Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individuals experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
