Job Description
This position is for a Cyber Security Engineering (CSE) Cryptographic (Crypto) / Communication Security (COMSEC) Team Member.
As an individual contributor, applying United States and F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Customer Nations practices and policies, the selected candidate would ensure that the F-35 JSF Crypto and COMSEC Systems are designed and implemented to be effective, efficient, and intuitive.
Responsibilities include ensuring that cyber security national Crypto requirements are properly defined, decomposed, and allocated and that the solution will satisfy applicable Government regulations. This includes conducting working groups, design reviews, and formal artifact reviews.
The candidate is a Subject Matter Expert in systems engineering with a focus on High Assurance Device certification, key management planning, and cryptographic designs for incorporation into the JSF environment. Detailed knowledge in cryptographic techniques including use of the US Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) and crypto key generation and distribution, and development of key management documentation Cryptographic Support Planning and implementation.
This position interfaces with Air Vehicle and Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) product teams, National Security Agency, Crypto Suppliers, various JSF MoDs, and the JSF Program Office.
Knowledge may be from professional experience and/or educational/technical training in the field of cryptography. Knowledge in systems engineering is required.
Previous Generation 5 experience with integrated End Cryptographic Units (ECUs) on airborne and ground systems is required. Previous experience integrating crypto and key management architectures for Foreign Military Sales is also desired.
A combination of education and experience may be considered equivalent to the degree requirement.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a US Citizen. This position requires special access and a Secret clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years to be considered.

Basic Qualifications
• Experience of US Armed Forces/DOD Cryptographic Key Management implementation in a lab or field setting.
• Experience of or designation as a Controlling Authority for Symmetric Keying Material.
• Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Management Client (MGC) Node functionality.
• Experience of or designation as an NSA COMSEC Account Manager.
• Electronic Key File Device (EKFD) Subject Matter Expert.
• Familiar with F35 or F22 Key CONOPS and Encryption Key Architecture.
Desired skills
• 4th and 5th Generation Fighter experience with integrating End Crypto Units (ECU) into airborne and ground-based systems.
• NSA Crypto Modernization Initiative efforts
• Designated Technical Transfer Agent
• Communication Navigation and Identification functionality experience
• Working knowledge of Committee on National Security Systems documents.
• Working knowledge of End Cryptographic Unit/HAD certification roadmap
• F35 Key Management Operational Events and Joint Technical Data Verification and Validation Experience
• Working Knowledge of the F-22 Platform
• Experience coordinating with IPTs, the JSF Program Office, and USG certifying agencies to ensure successful certification of the JSF Air System.
• Working knowledge of Key Management (KM), KM maintenance activities, ECU deployment and integration into flight test environments, and use in operational environments is required to perform the tasks associated with this position.
• Working knowledge experience with JSF ALIS, Off Board Mission Planning (OMS/MPE), Communication Navigation and Identification, Military Advanced Avionics and Service COMSEC Systems.
• Familiar with F22 Key CONOPS and Encryption Key Architecture.
• F22 Key Management Operational Events and Joint Technical Data Verification and Validation Experience

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $145,200 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $167,000 - $289,340. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
