Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a cyber security ACAS Admin to support our ARNORTH customer's IT requierments. This position will be located at Joint Base Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate installs, administers, and troubleshoots an ARNORTH’s security solutions. The security administrator will ensure the network's security, protect against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction, and troubleshoot any access problems. He/She will work with the cyber security team to provide coverage for 10.5 hours a day during normal duty days (e.g. shift work between 0630-1700 Monday-Friday less Federal holidays). Typical activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Periodically scan the NIPRNET and provide a weekly brief on the vulnerabilities and risks detected.
  • Under Government direction, ensure that personnel accessing information systems have the proper and current Cybersecurity certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01– M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, and DoDI 8500.01, Cybersecurity. This includes the management of the G6 portion of the System Authorization Access Request (SAAR) process and the performance PKI Enhanced Trusted Agent duties, issuing and revoking SIPRNET and Administrator tokens for ARNORTH personnel.
  • Assist the Government in preparing cybersecurity audits, inspections, training, policy and other staff actions. The cybersecurity staff shall inspect all remote user sites once per year.
  • Respond to security incidents that threaten the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the networks responding to cyber events IAW Command Incident Response Plan.
  • Investigating additions and changes to cybersecurity processes to identify, measure, and control threats to minimize the unauthorized disclosure of information via monitoring, IAVAs, and cost-effective countermeasures.
  • Document integration of procedures changes, organization hardware and software acceptance testing, and mitigation procedures in accordance with organization and industry standards.
  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance of NIPRNET systems and applications. Create weekly IAVA status report and work with other Leads to identify, patch and correct vulnerabilities.
  • Assist the government by providing research, documentation, artifacts, and administrative support for the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for the Command’s NIPRNET, DDASS, deployable C2 node type accreditations, future IaaS/PaaS/SaaS deployments, and other accreditations as required.
  • Managing the ARNORTH SIEM environment, NETAPP Storage Area Network (SAN), SNAP Manager, and VM Ware environment using the DISA STIGs, ARCYBER CTOs, ARNORTH SOP, and standard industry best practices.
Qualifications

Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)

  • 5 years of experience in a cyber security role.
  • In-depth understanding and experience using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT-related field, business administration, or technology management.
  • IAT Level II Certification (e.g., SEC+ or equivalent)
  • Clearance Required: Secret

Preferred Skills and Experience:
