Job Description:Job Description: Construction Technical Office (CTO) Engineer
Pay Range Commensurate with Industry Experience
Schedule Typically Monday through Friday and additional days / nights as needed
Position Summary
The position of CTO Engineer is responsible for the design of one discipline of engineering. This discipline may be highways, ITS, illumination, structures, traffic signs, traffic analysis, traffic control plans or geotechnical.
Job Responsibilities:
- Update design plans for applicable engineering discipline.
- Review design plans and Shop Drawings for applicable engineering discipline.
- Provide solutions to technical design challenges for applicable engineering discipline.
- Anticipate design conflicts between applicable engineering discipline and other disciplines.
- Determine calculations for applicable engineering discipline.
- Determine quantities for applicable engineering discipline.
- Interpret Design Build Contract for applicable engineering discipline.
- Coordinate with Field Engineers and Construction Engineers for engineering solutions to construction issues.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience of progressive responsibility in similar positions.
- -Experience with engineering discipline preferred.
- -Proficient in MicroStation, GEOPAK, OPEN ROADS, AutoCAD, and other applicable design software.
