STATUS: Full-time, Permanent
LOCATION: Whitby

SALARY RANGE: $35-$45/hour
Position: Cambium will be filling one position of either a Coordinator or Project Manager.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As a Coordinator with the Construction Testing and Inspection Team, you will actively participate in construction project activities, provide field support, assist with client requests and provide supervised oversight of field materials testing and quality compliance. You will be responsible for assisting with coordinating construction projects and opportunities including earthworks, asphalt, concrete and granular project scopes.

JOB DUTIES
• Actively participates in projects, assists with client input/feedback, and general coordination;
• Work with single or multidisciplinary teams on the project to ensure efficient and sustainable project delivery;
• Successfully develop relationships with clients, industry affiliates, engineers, technologists, technicians, and construction personnel;
• Coordinates and assists with the preparation of engineering specifications, drawings, and quantity/opinions on probable cost;
• Preparation of reports, proposals, and tender/bid submissions, budgets, project plans, and other supporting documentation, as required and directed by the project manager;
• Coordinating tender phase and construction phase services, including shop drawing review, and schedule of fees;
• Estimating and scheduling of projects, invoicing, including close out review, and update /maintenance of company-related data and resources;
• Monitoring project budgets and tracking financial pursuits including proposals and change orders
• Travel, shiftwork and overtime may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related discipline
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• A professional designation (i.e. P.Eng., P.Geo., related limited licence, C.E.T.) is a preferred asset
• Knowledge of relevant municipal and provincial standards and materials specifications
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Good communication skills with the ability to listen and clarify
• Good computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, TEAMS, and other project-related software and databases
• Ability to work independently, while also being able to collaborate as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence
• Excellent customer service orientation
• Flexible and adaptable to changing needs
• A high level of integrity and pride in quality work
• Desire to succeed and continuously learn
• Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
• The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills with fluency (reading, writing and oral) in English.
