Overview
Under the direction of the department manager or designee, performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to ensure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients. Participates in technical duties directly involving the CT scanner, including developing, initiating, training and monitoring procedures for the effective utilization of this unit as well as other portable and stationary X-ray units within the radiology department
Responsibilities
This individual will perform in the capacity of CT/Radiology Technologist, to perform all required special procedures in the radiology department, operating specialized equipment; as well as routine diagnostic procedures providing quality radiographic images.
Qualifications
A.A Degree in Radiology Technology or equivalent approved A.M.A. program. Minimum of three years of radiologic experience and special procedures experience is preferred. A minimum of one year of experience performing CT or previous acute hospital experience is preferred. Experience caring for all age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatrics.
Hospital Description
Required Licenses/Certifications. CRT License and Fluoroscopy Permit. Valid California State Certification License in unlimited diagnostic radiology services. ARRT License required. Current BLS. CT Certification Preferred.
