The Human Services Department is hiring for a CRT Clinician. The Community Response Team (CRT) is a Co-Responder, crisis intervention program that serves Douglas County and provides an emergency response to individuals experiencing a mental health, substance use disorder, housing or school-based crisis in the community. The CRT clinician operates as a Co-Responder team member with law enforcement, riding 40-hours/week with an assigned law enforcement partner in a police vehicle.

The CRT operates seven days a week, with shifts scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Most teams follow a 4x10 schedule, though exact hours vary by team. Specific shift details, including assigned team schedules, will be discussed during the interview process.

Generally, the hiring range is $68,953 - $86,191, annually. Qualifications, education and experience as it relates to the position will betaken into consideration when determining hiring salary.

The anticipated hiring date for this position is late September to early October, depending on the progression of recruitment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Involves identifying, assessing, stabilizing, and safety planning with individual and families with the goal of reducing imminent risk and increasing coping skills and functioning.
• Works alongside law enforcement, treatment providers and other partners as members of a multi-disciplinary team devoted to linking individuals and families to the appropriate treatment.
• Ideally the clinicians assist in diverting individuals from emergency departments, jails and maintaining individuals in their home and communities.
• Conduct psychosocial evaluations, using evidence-based tools, for individuals experiencing an acute psychiatric emergency in various community settings.
• Develop effective safety/crisis intervention plans that are client-centered and support strong therapeutic partnerships with clients and families.
• Coordinate immediate placement and follow-up services with community providers using the strength-based, Wrap-Around philosophy.
• Function as part of an interdisciplinary team as well as develop and maintain effective relationships with other community professionals.
• Provide care/support to families that demonstrates cultural awareness and respect of their cultural beliefs, customs, and norms.
• Refer individuals and families to resource specialist services which provide coordination with other agencies and service providers to meet SDoH needs.
• Document in Julota all assessments completed, interactions with individuals and families, and any other pertinent information or information required in the CRT process.
• Attend team meetings as scheduled.
• Regularly meet with the CRT clinical supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work required.
• Must be licensed or pending licensure with supervision (LPC, LMFT, LCSW).
• At least 2 years of treatment experience in a mental health setting.
• Must have crisis experience.
• Experience with military and/or law enforcement is a plus.
• A combination of education and experience may be considered.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:

• Must be licensed or supervised pending licensure (LPC, LMFT, LCSW).
• Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License upon hire, with complying insurance. Review of motor vehicle record is required at time of hire and periodically throughout employment.
• This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check including fingerprinting through a national database.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Essential work environment is in a police vehicle during 4 - 10 hour per day shifts.
• Must feel comfortable working with adults and youth.
• Some meetings for case staffings, training and other relevant meetings.
• Contact with Douglas County community members/clients under a wide variety of circumstances, including unpredictable situations.
• Pressure to respond to multiple calls and inquires.
• Subject to schedule changes based on the needs of the program.
• Must be able to lift at least 25lbs (i.e.,resources in/out of the car).
