Job Overview :

As the Cross-System Collaboration Section Chief in the Office of Health Innovation & Quality, Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM), your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising lower-level supervisors (e.g., directs work, establishes section goals in accordance with bureau and agency goals and objectives)
• Leading innovative population health initiatives that directly improve outcomes for Medicaid members, including children, mothers, individuals with behavioral health needs, and adults with chronic conditions.
• Building and strengthen partnerships with managed care plans, community organizations, health systems, schools, and behavioral health providers to expand access to evidence-based care.
• Providing leadership for the Medicaid director's initiative Healthy2Learn to improve chronic absenteeism by ensuring kids are healthy and ready to learn.
• Shaping statewide health policy by ensuring programs align with the governor's priorities and CMS requirements by helping design solutions that remove barriers to care.
• Translating data, research, and community insights into clear strategies and reports that drive meaningful system-wide improvements.

Qualifications

Completion of graduate core program in business, management or public administration, public health, health administration, social or behavioral science or public finance; 36 mos. exp. in planning & administering health services program or health services project management (e.g., health care data analysis, health services contract management, health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development, HMO & hospital rate development, health services eligibility, health services data base analysis).

-Or 12 months experience as a Medicaid Health Systems Administrator 2, 65296. Note: education & experience is to be commensurate with approved position description on file.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
