Compensation and Benefits:

• 5 years' experience $385,611.20
• 2 to 5 years' experience, $360,609.60
• 0 to 2 years $350,604.80  

• Commencement Bonus: $40,000 for a 2-year commitment OR $60,000 for a 3-year commitment.  
• PTO: 7 weeks of PTO 
• $3,000/year CME allowance 
• Relocation assistance/allowance available up to *$10,000 for out-of-state or out-of-area candidates

Practice Environment:

• Location: St. Joseph's Medical Center - Stockton, CA

• Facility:  

• 8-room main OR, cath lab, endoscopy. 
• 355-bed hospital with 14,300 annual cases covering a wide range of specialties: general, colorectal, ortho, spine, thoracic, cardiac, vascular, OB/GYN, plastics, ENT, podiatry, and more. 

• Schedule: Flexible 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, including call options. Post-call days off for in-house shifts.  
• Scope of Practice: Full autonomy for CRNAs, including regional anesthesia, arterial lines, and central lines.  

• The Anesthesiology department is diverse, consisting of 14 physicians, over 30 independent-practice CRNAs, and 24 Residents (8-10 daily on site) providing services for up to 19 anesthetizing locations daily including acute care ORs, cardiac ORs, obstetrics, GI/endo, cath lab, interventional radiology, and a hospital ambulatory surgery center.
• The annual anesthesia case volume is approx. 14,300 cases, consisting of ~ 9,000 surgical cases, 800 cardiac cases, and 2,000 out-of-OR cases in GI, EP lab/Cath Lab, and interventional radiology.
• OB services with 3,000 births annually

 

  

Who We’re Looking For:

• We’re seeking full-time and part-time CRNAs who are motivated to practice independently in a supportive, collaborative environment. Our group works across St. Joseph's Medical Center & St. Joseph's Surgery Center.

• Ideal Candidates: Experienced CRNAs or new graduates ready to excel in an academic environment alongside an anesthesiology residency program.

Hospital Profile: 

• St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton, CA, is a 355-bed hospital and part of the CommonSpirit Hospital System.
• St. Joseph’s is the largest hospital in San Joaquin County and is considered the 10th busiest cardiothoracic department in California.
• The Anesthesia Residency program started in July 2021. Residency subspecialty training currently available at St. Joseph’s includes cardiac, obstetrics, critical care, acute and chronic pain , and pediatrics. 
• New Hospital being built in the next 2-3 years

   

Location Highlights:

• St. Joseph’s is centrally and conveniently located, only 50 minutes from Sacramento, only 90 minutes from San Francisco and Yosemite National Park, and only a few hours away from Lake Tahoe.
• The St. Joseph's Medical staff tend to reside in the nearby communities of Stockton (Brookside) and the surrounding communities of Lodi, Elk Grove, Manteca, and Tracy.
