The Work: The
Critical Facilities Program Manager is responsible for the successful delivery, growth, and financial performance of assigned critical facilities O&M programs. This role combines program management, technical leadership, client relationship management, team leadership, and business development. The Program Manager will work closely with leadership team to grow existing O&M relationships, develop new opportunities, and expand services into cyber, automation, design-build, commissioning and related critical facilities capabilities as appropriate. This position offers a clear path for advancement based on performance and demonstrated ability to grow the O&M portfolio, develop client relationships, lead teams, and expand service offerings. Successful performance may create opportunities for increased program responsibility and advancement into broader business-line leadership roles.
In this role you will work a Hybrid schedule, working both from home as well as from our Arlington, VA HQ office. This position will also involve up to 30% travel to client sites.Citizenship/Clearance Requirements: - Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain up to a Secret clearance due to our customer requirements and the nature of the work that we do.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage the day-to-day delivery and financial performance of assigned critical facilities O&M programs, including budgets, staffing, resource planning, risk, safety, quality, and profitability.
- Provide technical and operational leadership for critical facilities programs, leveraging expertise in MEP systems, automation and controls, reliability, maintainability, and facility performance.
- Serve as a key point of contact for public and private sector clients, developing trusted relationships and ensuring strong communication, service delivery, and client satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing O&M accounts and develop new clients, working with the business development team to expand the portfolio.
- Identify opportunities to expand client relationships into design-build, commissioning, and automation services when aligned with client needs and company capabilities.
- Lead and develop high-performing technical and interdisciplinary teams through effective staffing, coaching, work assignments, performance management, and resource utilization.
- Develop and implement O&M standards, procedures, tools, and technologies that improve reliability, efficiency, safety, quality, and client outcomes.
- Provide technical oversight of critical MEP systems, including electrical distribution, generators, UPS, switchgear, HVAC / mechanical systems, BAS / BMS, EPMS, automation and controls, and life-safety systems.
- Manage program execution, including schedules, staffing, subcontractors, vendors, client communication, risk management, quality, and financial performance.
- Support business development through client engagement, technical presentations, proposals, pricing, capture strategies, and contract negotiations.
- Participate in pursuit strategy, capture planning, and go / no-go decisions for O&M and strategic critical facilities opportunities.
- Provide technical and operational leadership on Design-Build and construction management opportunities as required, coordinating with engineering, estimating, construction, and other business lines.
Minimum Requirements:- At least 8 years of progressive O&M experience in critical facilities, data centers, MEP contract service, facilities operations, automation / controls, construction, commissioning, or related mission-critical environments.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience managing programs, projects, engineering / technical teams, or facilities operations.
- Proven experience managing public and private sector clients, including executive-level communication, relationship development, contract performance, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction.
- Experience leading and developing technical and operations teams, including staffing, performance management, resource planning, and workforce development.
- Demonstrated experience managing client relationships, budgets, staffing, risk, quality, and operational performance.
- At least 2 years of experience working on and developing proposals for Federal contracts.
- Strong technical knowledge in at least one major critical-facilities discipline, such as electrical, mechanical / HVAC, BAS / BMS, EPMS, automation, or controls.
- Demonstrated understanding of safety, quality assurance, risk management, and regulatory / industry compliance within critical facilities or similar environments.
- Requires a Valid State Issued Driver's License and the ability to travel to various work sites.
Preferred:- PMP, PE, CEM, CFM, CCM, or similar certification.
- Active Secret or higher Security Clearance or experience working in secure / federal facilities.
- 8 or more years in critical facilities / mission-critical environments, or related O&M / program management.
- Experience growing an O&M account or service portfolio.
- Experience with Design-Build, construction management, commissioning, or engineering services.
- Experience supporting or managing data centers, federal facilities, healthcare, financial, telecommunications, or other mission-critical environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing both public-sector and private-sector portfolios, with an understanding of the different procurement, contracting, compliance, and stakeholder requirements of each including IDIQ, MATOC, & SATOC's, etc.
- Strong understanding of critical infrastructure systems, including medium / low-voltage electrical distribution, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, cooling systems, BMS / EPMS, fire/life safety, and controls.
Annual Salary, Dependent Upon Qualifications and Experience: $170,000 - $190,000
