Full Job Description
What this role is all about:

The Credit Solutions Manager provides expert credit structuring and underwriting support to the Commercial Banking team, ensuring strong portfolio performance and compliance with Beem's credit standards. This role focuses on analyzing complex credit requests, structuring solutions that meet member needs, organizational profitability needs, and organizational risk appetite, and mentoring associate underwriters. The Credit Solutions Manager plays a key role in driving Beem's growth and financial wellness objectives through digital-first processes and collaborative partnerships.

This is a hybrid role and will cover the Kamloops to Prince George region.

What you'll do:

Credit Structuring & Underwriting

  • Analyze financial statements, appraisals, and environmental reports to assess creditworthiness and risk.
  • Structure and prepare commercial loan applications and memorandums in compliance with Beem's credit policies.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers to jointly submit applications and ensure timely funding of approved loans.
  • Recommend loan submissions based on Credit Union established policies and pricing.


Portfolio Management

  • Monitor portfolio quality, exposure limits, and security requirements to safeguard Beem's assets.
  • Manage annual reviews and renewals for assigned portfolio, ensuring covenant compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Assist in complicated credit structuring with Commercial Relationship Managers.


Compliance & Risk Oversight

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and Beem's risk management framework.
  • Implement procedures to minimize loan and revenue loss through early identification of risks.
  • Review appraiser and quantity surveyor progress reports and prepare construction draw recommendations.


Collaboration & Leadership

  • Mentor and coach Credit Solutions Associates, providing onboarding and credit training.
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver seamless service and support business growth objectives.
  • Maintain and develop a small portfolio of clients, ensuring exceptional service and relationship management.

Compensation

Annual salary range: $92,200 to $115,200
