We need a Creative Product Owner who owns end-to-end delivery accountability for all creative assets, who operates with the same rigor as our Domain Product Owners, and enables our Creative leaders to focus on what they do best: producing best-in-class content and design.
Core Accountabilities
This role is accountable for the delivery of every creative asset produced by the Content & Design team. Specific accountabilities include:
- Sprint Planning & Prioritization: Propose sprint priorities to the VP of Concrete; facilitate intake from Smartsheet to Jira; ensure alignment between stakeholder requests and team capacity
- SCRUM Execution: Lead daily standups, retrospectives, and planning ceremonies; maintain Jira hygiene (ticket updates, dates, requirements, status tracking
- Workflow Optimization: Evaluate and optimize the dual-board structure (Content/Design); identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the pitch content design review compliance & carrier workflow
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as primary point of contact for asset requestors; manage expectations, create and communicate timelines, coordinate reviews
- Efficiency & Automation: Identify opportunities to leverage technology, AI, and process improvements to increase team velocity and output quality; partner with Marketing Ops/Tech teams to implement solutions
- Team Performance: Track and improve efficiency metrics (cycle time, throughput, quality/rework rates); ensure Directors of Design and Content have protected time for craft development and team mentorship; report on and optimize Time & Cost Per Creative metrics.
- Cross-functional Delivery: Drive and own collaboration between Concrete and Marketing/MPS teams; lead WebDev-Concrete handoff meetings; accountable for successful delivery of Concrete assets in cross-team initiatives
Qualifications include:
- Marketing & Creative Fluency: 4-5+ years experience in marketing, creative agencies, content marketing, or paid media; can "speak the language" of designers, writers, and marketers
- Operations Mindset: Comfortable with the day-to-day foundational work-Jira administration, status updates, meeting facilitation, documentation-and sees this work as essential to team success
- Confident Leadership: Can lead and guide experienced creative professional and earns their respect through competence, organization, and follow-through
- Systems Thinker: Naturally identifies inefficiencies; proactively proposes process improvements and technology solutions; understands how workflows connect across teams
- Highly Organized: Manages complexity with ease; tracks dozens of assets across multiple stages; nothing falls through the cracks
- Collaborative, Not Controlling: Facilitates decisions rather than dictating them; builds trust with creative leaders by making their jobs easier
