Full Job Description
About the Role

Prime Video is building the future of how the world discovers what to watch - and promotional video is where that discovery begins. Every Quick Clip and Video Sizzle is a customer's first moving impression of a title, and it has seconds to land in their language, their culture, and their emotional register. The Localization Enablement & Accessibility Program (LEAP) is hiring a Creative Director [Video] to own the creative vision for our AI-assisted promotional video platform.

This is a rare role at the intersection of craft and technology. You will direct both editors and AI models - setting up the artistic and emotional bar for promotional content. Your work will reach audiences in every market Prime Video serves. The standards you set - for pacing, moment selection, editorial rhythm, sound, grade, and motion - will define what emotionally authentic, culturally resonant, promotional video looks like for the industry.

Key job responsibilities

- Own the creative vision and quality standards for AI-assisted promotional content, including ethical guardrails for how AI is used in production.

- Define what "good" looks like - the bar for craft, cultural resonance, and emotional authenticity - and hold output to it across every market.

- Design and lead hybrid human-plus-AI workflows that pair AI throughput with human creative and cultural refinement, so scale never comes at the cost of quality.

- Lead the operations ramp-up of the promotional content pipeline - standing up production capacity, staffing and training the creative team, and scaling throughput to meet volume commitments across markets.

- Partner with science, product, and engineering to translate creative judgment into structured signals that improve the models over time - capturing craft, not discarding it as one-off edits.

- Drive the global expansion of AI-assisted promotional content, ensuring output is culturally and linguistically resonant market by market.

- Build and mentor a distributed creative bench, establishing the direction and standards that scale across languages and regions.

- Champion the use of AI technology in creative contexts. At Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, our approach to the implementation of generative AI is human-centered. We believe AI is an impactful tool that augments human creativity, never replacing it.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of delivering final video production for advertising or tv experience

- 4+ years in a creative leadership role, with direct responsibility for setting and enforcing creative standards across a post-production creative team

- Direct experience in trailer or promo editorial at a major studio, network, advertising agency or post-house

- Demonstrated experience evaluating video assets at scale through QC, editorial review, creative operations, or post-production supervision context

- Fluency with industry-standard post-production tooling at a level sufficient to review, annotate, and direct technical corrections

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Direct experience working with AI or automated post-production systems, with a working understanding of how editorial training data and creative feedback signals drive model behavior and output quality.

- Direct experience creating or supervising key art, packaging, or promotional video for major entertainment titles

- Familiarity with platform-specific creative requirements and how streaming platforms differ from broadcast in their asset specifications, display environments, and audience behavior patterns

- Track record of creative policy authorship at scale - post-production standards, editorial guidelines, or QC specifications that have been formally adopted, versioned, and used as the basis for training or evaluation programs

- Experience presenting creative quality data to senior leadership, translating operational and editorial metrics into narratives that inform strategic decisions

- Comfort working with both creative and technical - able to hold a conversation with an ML engineer about model architecture and an editor about pacing/SLX in the same afternoon, and bring both back to the creative standard

- Familiarity with asset management and DAM systems - understanding how creative assets are catalogued, versioned, and retrieved at scale, and how that infrastructure supports quality operations
