OverviewEdgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a COTS Automation Engineer to support a major national laboratory.
You will be design, develop, and implement automated systems and processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance for various Custom-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications. You will also support the IT Support and Application Administration duties of the team and help to customize COTS applications for users and programs.
Responsibilities
- Bring COTS automation expertise to the team
- Participate as a developer on this Agile Scrum team
- Work collaboratively and efficiently with the team to deliver high-quality products
- Participate in Scrum events such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective
- Write code and scripts for automation and customization of COTS applications
- Provide IT Support and Application Administration of COTS applications
- Create and maintain documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree along with 1 year or more of relevant experience
- The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q level security clearance
- Must be US Citizen
- Willing to be on-site 3 days a week to meet mission deliverables and service level agreement requirements
Required Skills:
- Linux system administration experience
- Knowledge in Ansible configuration management
- Experience with Javascript
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Active DOE L or Q clearance
- Experience with Git source code management
- Familiar with DevSecOps and CI/CD practices
- Experience with COTS applications and their administration and deployment across various environmentso DOORS Next or Cameo/MagicDraw experienceo Custom report development experience
- Knowledge of OpenShift Deployment or Cloud technologies
- Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Jira
