Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a COTS Automation Engineer to support a major national laboratory. 

 

You will be design, develop, and implement automated systems and processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance for various Custom-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications. You will also support the IT Support and Application Administration duties of the team and help to customize COTS applications for users and programs.

Responsibilities
  • Bring COTS automation expertise to the team
  • Participate as a developer on this Agile Scrum team
  • Work collaboratively and efficiently with the team to deliver high-quality products
  • Participate in Scrum events such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective
  • Write code and scripts for automation and customization of COTS applications
  • Provide IT Support and Application Administration of COTS applications
  • Create and maintain documentation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree along with 1 year or more of relevant experience
  • The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q level security clearance
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Willing to be on-site 3 days a week to meet mission deliverables and service level agreement requirements

Required Skills:

  • Linux system administration experience
  • Knowledge in Ansible configuration management
  • Experience with Javascript
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Active DOE L or Q clearance
  • Experience with Git source code management
  • Familiar with DevSecOps and CI/CD practices
  • Experience with COTS applications and their administration and deployment across various environmentso DOORS Next or Cameo/MagicDraw experienceo Custom report development experience
  • Knowledge of OpenShift Deployment or Cloud technologies
  • Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Jira
