As a Cost Manager working within the Project Management team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role in contributing to the financial control and success of major construction projects. Supporting large-scale building and infrastructure projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion, you will analyze, develop, and manage budgets while helping project teams make sound financial and business decisions.

What You Will Do
• Organize and supervise the cost control team on major projects, including task allocation and team development
• Develop, monitor, and communicate cost control processes and procedures to operational teams
• Oversee operational dashboards and identify opportunities for budget optimization
• Ensure the application of Major Project Management methods and recommend improvements
• Collaborate closely with Construction, Procurement, and Contracts teams
• Develop strategic and operational dashboards aligned with business objectives and annual action plans
• Perform in-depth analysis of project performance (progress, entitlements, quantities, key ratios, etc.)
• Lead proactive cost management activities, including:
o Budget recalibration
o Strategic contract management
o Overhead cost control
o Management of contractual penalties and variances
• Manage cost contingencies across:
o Client budgets (Estimates)
o Commitments
o Forecasts and projections
• Align cost forecasts (CBS) with project schedules (Primavera P6 WBS)
• Assess financial impact of schedule changes, including delays, compression, and resequencing

This Role Could Be for You If You Have
• Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in a leadership or team management role
• Strong knowledge of:
o Project Management Information Systems (PMIS)
o Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fluency in English and French (written and spoken)
• Basic knowledge of scheduling, ideally with Primavera P6

Additional Assets
• Experience in the construction industry
• Knowledge of systems such as:
o SAP
o Procore
o Other enterprise financial and cost control systems
• Familiarity with project controls platforms such as:
o InEight
o CostX
o DESTINI (or similar tools)
