Qualifications

  • BS degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in defense cost estimating
  • Proven ability to construct complex cost estimates and conduct proposal evaluations
  • Experience writing Technical Advisory Reports (TARs) or similar cost evaluation reports
  • Familiarity with Cost/Benefit Analyses (CBAs), Learning Curve, Quantity Curve models, and Regression analysis
  • Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel cost modeling and database management
  • Current PCEA or CCEA certification

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the success of client program offices through effective cost estimating
  • Construct and analyze complex cost estimates for defense projects
  • Evaluate proposals and summarize findings in Technical Advisory Reports
  • Conduct Cost/Benefit Analyses (CBAs) for informed decision-making
  • Utilize Learning Curve and Quantity Curve models for project assessments
  • Perform Regression analysis to validate estimating scenarios
  • Develop and manage comprehensive Excel-based cost models

Full Job Description
As a Cost Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the ongoing success of our client's program offices by leveraging your expertise with defense cost estimating. In addition to being able to obtain a Secret security clearance, ideal candidates will:

  • Possess a BS degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering or an equivalent degree.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years' experience with defense cost estimating
  • Have experience in constructing complex cost estimates, evaluating proposals and writing Technical Advisory Reports (TARs) or equivalent cost evaluation reports.
  • Have experience in Cost/Benefit Analyses (CBAs), Learning Curve and Quantity Curve models, and Regression analysis.
  • Be skilled in the construction and use of complex Microsoft Excel cost models and databases.
  • Hold an active PCEA or CCEA certification
