PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Cost Analyst will research and evaluate costs for a company's various departments and projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Analyze Project Cost Incurred / Track PR's/ PO's.
• Develop Status monitoring and reporting.
• Respond to PM and customer requests for analysis.
• Identify potential problems from CPR and cost data.
• Support new business activities.
• Cost Reports for FIN 80912 CDRL requirement
• Develop budgets and maintain ETC/EAC's.
• Responsible for maintaining a cost data base on various projects.
• Create required funding documentation for contractual documents.
• Interfacing with program and project managers.
• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• Ability to read and understand items in a document that pertains to cost analysis work, such as the Amendment of Solicitation/Modification Form and a Statement of Work (SOW).
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups or employees.
• Position requires interaction primarily with employees and managers on a routine basis.
• Knowledge of Microsoft office and Deltek Costpoint. Must be an advanced user of Excel with intermediate knowledge of Word and Power Point.
• Knowledge of Deltek Cobra or equivalent EVMS software preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Cost Analyst I BA/BS degree with at least 1 year of task related experience Or High School diploma with at least 5 years of task related experience.
Cost Analyst II BA/BS degree with at least 5 years of task related experience Or High School diploma with at least 10 years of task related experience Or BA/BS degree with at least 1 years of EVM experience.
Cost Analyst III BA/BS degree with at least 10 years of task related experience Or Master's degree with at least 7 years of task related experience Or BA/BS degree with at least 3 years of EVM experience.
• Knowledge of FAR and CAS.
• Knowledge of CPFF and FFP contracts for IDIQ contract awards.
• Knowledge of Costpoint or comparable project management system knowledge may be acceptable.
• Strong database and efficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
• Worked with applications such as MS Office Professional and Cognos.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management is preferred.
• Knowledge in EVM Practices and Principles as it relates to cost reporting and analyses is preferred.
• Complete understanding of the Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) DI-MGMT-81861 is preferred.
• Knowledgeable of EIA-748-C Standard for EVM Systems 32 guidelines is preferred
• Experience with EVMS reporting software, COBRA experience is preferred.
• DAU certification in Fundamentals of EVM and Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management, or be enrolled and must be completed within 6 months, is preferred.
