Stafford Creek Corrections Center

Aberdeen, Washington

Hourly Salary: $36.16-$47.43

Monthly Salary: $6,292.00-$8,253.00

Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm (0800-1630) Monday-Friday (Sat/Sun off)
The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and Corrections Specialist 2 for a position at the Stafford Creek Corrections Center located in Aberdeen, WA.
To ensure the facilitation of this administrative program, this position will report directly to the facility Health Services Manager/designee and will oversee, coordinate, direct, manage and implement all aspects of the Incarcerated Individuals Grievance Program for Health Services as mandated by the Resolution Program Manual and DOC Policy, Resolution Program, 550.100.
This position works closely with administrative and clinical staff which may also include Headquarters' Resolution Program Manager to ensure adherence and compliance to the established protocols and procedures of the incarcerated individuals Resolution Program.

  • Six (6) years of professional experience providing healthcare case management services in adult or juvenile corrections, social services, or closely related field.
  • Knowledge and understanding of resolutions, tort, or other investigative processes.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, documenting resolutions, and managing cases efficiently and effectively is essential for ensuring compliance and accountability.

  • Tuberculosis (TB) is a priority health issue for DOC employees. The successful candidate may be required to provide valid proof of a baseline TB skin test within 60 days from the date ofhire. When positive tests result, further information, testing and treatment will also be required. Employment is not contingent upon test results.
  • This position may be represented by a bargaining unit.

  • Requires respirator medical evaluation questionnaire, fit testing, training, and use of respiratory protection as required by the WA Industrial Safety & Act standards. Refer to WAC 296-842 to learn more.
  • Must be able to work in spaces, climb stairs, walk long distances, and frequently lift up to 30 pounds. Under rare circumstances this position may be required to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and push up to 100 pounds.
  • Foreign equivalent degrees awarded outside the United States must have a credential evaluation report attached to your application.
