Rates of pay: RN $39.07-$52.10

LPN $32.01-42.22

Under the direction of the Medical Coordinator delivers quality care to inmates at the Grafton County Department of Corrections by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with established philosophy and protocols. Practices specialty nursing in a complex environment which combines the demands of two systems, corrections and health care. Works with a population where serious medical conditions, mental health disorders, substance abuse disorders, and infectious diseases are more prevalent than in the general population. This nursing specialty includes elements of multiple medical specialties including outpatient care, emergency care, chronic care, OB/GYN care, geriatric care, postoperative care, addiction/substance abuse, mental health, occupational health, dental health, and community health.

Requirements

Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse by the State of New Hampshire. At least three years as an RN or LPN with experience in acute care, ICU or emergency room is preferable. Candidates must submit to a thorough background investigation and criminal record check.
