Full Job Description
About the Role:
CrowdStrike is seeking a Corporate Sales Engineer passionate about the cybersecurity space to support both pre-sales and account management within our SLED (State, Local, and Education) segment. You'll partner closely with Account Executives to acquire new customers — and just as importantly, to retain, grow, and deepen relationships with the customers we already serve. That means presenting our platform to prospective clients to increase the likelihood of closing sales, then staying with those accounts as their trusted technical advisor to drive adoption, expansion, and renewal.

You'll be part of a team dedicated to changing customer perception of endpoint technology by articulating the limitations and failures of legacy security solutions and demonstrating the value of our next-generation offering — including how organizations securely adopt AI, from the models, agents, and data they deploy to the AI-powered adversaries now targeting them.

SLED customers are unlike any other segment. You'll work with security teams of one or two people protecting an entire school district, with CISOs navigating grant funding cycles, and with state agencies balancing modernization against strict compliance mandates. The technical work is challenging and the impact is tangible.

This position offers the flexibility of 100% remote work for candidates located within the United States.

What You'll Do:

  • Be the expert across the Falcon endpoint portfolio – eg. next-gen AV and behavioral prevention, EDR/XDR detection and response, real-time response and forensics, IT hygiene and exposure/vulnerability management, device and firewall control, file integrity monitoring, and endpoint data protection

  • Extend the conversation beyond the endpoint – Falcon Next-Gen SIEM as a legacy SIEM replacement, cloud and workload security across AWS, Azure, and GCP including containers and Kubernetes, SaaS security posture management, identity threat detection and response across Active Directory, Entra ID, Okta, and MFA, data protection, and adversary intelligence

  • Position managed services where they fit – MDR, managed threat hunting, and incident response retainers for customers who cannot staff a 24/7 SOC, paired with agentic AI and SOAR automation to extend a small team's reach

  • Articulate how to secure AI adoption – eg. AI security posture management, protecting AI models, agents, and workloads, shadow AI discovery, and defending against AI-driven adversary tradecraft

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems

  • Conduct demonstrations and proof of values with the ability to present technical concepts to a variety of external audiences up to C-level executives

  • Lead competitive displacement and agent consolidation efforts against legacy AV and incumbent platforms

  • Communicate fundamental security challenges to a wide range of stakeholders, from hands-on analysts to superintendents and state CIOs

  • Own the post-sales technical relationship for assigned accounts: drive onboarding, module adoption, health checks, and technical business reviews that surface expansion opportunities and mitigate renewal risk early

  • Partner with Account Executives on account planning, renewals, and whitespace strategy across the existing SLED base

  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Support, and Engineering; the Sales Engineer should be the technical bridge between CrowdStrike and prospects/customers

  • Enable and mentor peers and channel partners

  • Work independently as a strong self-starter, with effective time management and organizational skills

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical studies or equivalent practical experience, with 2+ years of relevant experience in IT, security, system engineering/administration, sales engineering, or technical account management

  • Customer-facing experience, comfort leading presentations, and a track record of managing long-term technical relationships

  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes

  • Proficient understanding of Active Directory and modern identity providers such as Entra ID and Okta

  • Familiarity with AI/LLM concepts and their associated risks – prompt injection, model and training data exposure, agentic identity and access, and emerging AI governance frameworks

  • Knowledge of malware, threat intelligence, and/or sandbox analysis

  • Ability to write and modify basic scripts. Preferred languages are PowerShell, Python, and Bash

  • Experience with virtualization/VDI technologies

  • Experience with large-scale cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.

  • Ability to travel minimally as required (potentially 2-3 trips a year to the annual GTM Offsite, Fal.Con, and customer visits)

  • Bonus: familiarity with public sector compliance frameworks (StateRAMP, CJIS, FERPA, NIST CSF/800-171); understanding of SLED buying motions such as cooperative purchasing vehicles and cybersecurity grant funding; certifications such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, and SANS or participation in security events such as capture the flag
