About the RoleThis a critical role within LNG Canada delivering consultation and stakeholder engagement to ensure compliance, deliver on commitments, and sustain community and stakeholder relationships during operations. This includes communicating operational changes, consultation for permitting, managing community feedback, and representing Corporate Relations within the Operations team. This role also provides leadership (formal and informal) of site-based Corporate Relations staff and is a key relationship holder and representative in the community.
As a member of the Asset Leadership team based at our LNG Canada facility in Kitimat, this role will oversee Corporate Relations input into the Integrated Activity Plan to ensure stakeholder concerns are considered and that LNG Canada is positioned for a legacy of operational excellence, safety, and community stewardship. This role will work to ensure regulatory obligations and agreements are built into operational plans and the Corporate Relations team is connected and integrated with site and community-based activities.

You will use your expertise to: - Be a key member of the Asset Leadership Team, accountable for Corporate Relations representation and delivery
- Lead a team (formal and informal reporting lines) of site-based CR professionals, establishing a team culture of care, trust and resilience
- Accountable for community response and engagement on issues management, including; noise, flaring, air, health, general
- Accountable for working with the CR Social Performance team to respond to and communicate community concerns to the Operations team and develop response actions.
- Develop and maintain the CR resourcing for the 24-hour operations Duty Roster including on-call procedures and team training for community notification systems
- Accountable for delivery of the Stakeholder Engagement Plan and for Community Engagement and Consultation for regulatory permitting, to ensure stakeholder concerns are documented and commitments are met
- Ensure robust consultation strategies are executed to support Regulatory, Environment and Permitting teams for all operational permitting consultation requirements
- Execute on your deep working expertise of British Columbia and Federal public and Indigenous regulatory consultation requirements
- Manage the overall integration within LNG Canada of mitigation and adaptive management required for long-term operations
- Be a contributing member of Corporate Relations team willing to jump in and lead team initiatives
To be successful, you will have: - An undergraduate degree inIndigenous/community/public relations, business development or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- 10-15 years related experience related to Indigenous Relations, stakeholder engagement with a strong preference for direct BC experience
- Experience working in heavy, oil and gas, or Industrial manufacturing industry
- Proven experience developing and executing Indigenous and non-Indigenous regulatory consultation strategies in highly regulated environments. Direct BC experience is preferred.
- Experience working in a large-scale, fast-paced environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Proven experience in Non-Technical Risk integration in complex projects
