Full Job Description
Purpose
A driven leader that can architect and sustain a Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with business needs and ISO 9001:2015. Lead and manage corporate audit activities, data collection, analysis, and reporting. Lead change at all levels through the design and implementation of systematic solutions to complex problems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead Corporate QMS activities/changes, corrective/preventive actions, hosting auditors (registrar management rep), and customers
  • Coaching problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Administer and report corporate quality metrics
  • Develop the QMS audit strategy. Train and develop a team of (volunteer) auditors
  • Lead the internal and external audit program


Specific Duties
  • Be a process and systems innovator. Bring together staff of different disciplines/locations and drive the group to plan, formulate and agree on quality management system documents. Own and realize improvements through facilitation in the absence of direct reports
  • Monitor, measure and report on improvement projects and related activities
  • Stay current and relevant as a Quality Professional (ex. ISO 9001:2015 updates, ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification)
  • Develop Management Review Data and prepare PPT
  • Process Audit Coordination and assistance with Site Quality Managers (formal versus day-to-day process auditing)
  • Serve as a lead auditor - prepare, perform, report, and follow up on internal systems and process audits
  • Support supplier qualification activities
  • Implement metrics where needed to measure process performance
  • Use performance data to help prioritize and plan improvement strategies and educational needs
  • Implement new hire introduction to QMS


Education and Experience
  • A BS degree in a technical discipline, Engineering preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience with ISO 9001:2015, Supplier Quality Management, Internal auditing (lead process auditor), Manufacturing, Statistics, Problem Solving, Control Planning/FMEA, Continuous Improvement Methodologies


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A driven leader that can analyze technical product features and create a team environment conducive to problem-solving
  • A collaborator with strong people skills to coordinate with all employees, suppliers, clients on matters of quality assurance
  • Must have the ability to teach, generate concise detailed reports, and implement metrics to measure process performance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and QA databases/software, transformer test equipment, calipers, micrometers, tape line, dew point meter, megger, impact recorder, paint gauge, and other measurement devices


Travel Requirements

Travel as necessary to visit customers, manufacturing locations (San Carlos, CA, and St Jean sur Richelieu, Quebec), and suppliers. Represent Delta Star at industry events as needed (20%).
