POSITION SUMMARYReporting to the Manager, Marketing & Customer Engagement, the Corporate Marketing Associate plays a key role in supporting the Prince Rupert Port Authority's (PRPA) corporate marketing initiatives to support the growth and development of the port's intermodal, bulk, liquid bulk, and cruise business lines. The Associate is responsible for supporting the execution of integrated marketing and communication strategies that enhance PRPA's market presence, in line with corporate objectives.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES- Corporate Events & Customer Loyalty: Leads the coordination and execution of corporate events including trade shows, seminars, speaking engagements, conferences, and customer events, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
- Campaign Execution & Brand Awareness: Supports the execution of innovative advertising campaigns across various media platforms to increase brand awareness, attract potential customers, and drive business growth. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across various channels.
- Content Creation: Working with Communications, creates compelling marketing content for various channels, including social media, company website, and print materials, while ensuring consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
- Marketing Analytics: Working with the Manager, creates and maintains marketing dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, website traffic, and campaign effectiveness, while analyzing data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Marketing Research: Conducts promotional market research to gather insights and trends that inform marketing strategies and tactics. Implements insights learned to inform marketing strategies and stay ahead of industry developments.
- Sponsorship Coordination: Identifies and secures sponsorship opportunities aligning with PRPA's brand values and objectives.
- Presentation & Material Management: Assists with the creation of PRPA presentations and collateral for use in external forums and customer and stakeholder engagements.
- CRM Database: Assists with the utilization of PRPA's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to ensure accurate and up-to-date customer information.
- Performs other related duties, as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS- Position to be based in either Prince Rupert or Vancouver, with travel to either location when required.
- Regular, full-time position (37.5 hours per week). Regular working hours are Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with 1 hour lunch break (unpaid).
- At times, work hours may varyfor operational reasons, with some travel required.
JOB SPECIFICATIONSFormal Education- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, commerce or a related field.
Related Experience- 1 to 3 years of related marketing or customer engagement experience.
- Experience in the transportation, logistics, supply chain, infrastructure, or tourism sectors is considered an asset.
- Experience in event management and implementation of marketing campaigns is considered an asset.
Other Requirements- Advanced written, verbal, and presentation communication skills to clearly convey complex logistics and trade corridor marketing initiatives.

- Proficient in MS Office, analytical or performance dashboards, and modern CRM systems.
- Ability to utilize large language models and other AI-enabled productivity tools to support research, content creation, and analysis while applying sound verification judgments.
- Able to obtain Transport Canada's Security Clearance.
- Possess valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and a valid Canadian passport.
The base salary range for this role is $77,689- $97,112. This position is eligible for a performance-based variable incentive targeted at 10% of the base salary.
