The Analyst will support management of several different insurance policies at both enterprise and project-specific levels, including insurance marketing, procurement/placement, renewal strategy, policy analysis, coverage tracking, broker and carrier coordination, and internal advisory support.

We are looking for someone to develop and exhibit ownership of critical components of our insurance process, including the ability to understand and improve processes by leveraging data analytics, maintaining effective communication, and identifying efficiency opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Review, organize, and maintain corporate insurance policies, certificates, binders, endorsements, schedules, and related coverage documentation
  • Track all policy renewal timelines and processes, provide periodic reporting, complete coverage applications, and otherwise drive the marketing and renewal of insurance policies
  • Analyze policy terms, conditions, exclusions, limits, deductibles, self-insured retentions, and coverage requirements for enterprise operational and project-specific risks
  • Obtain certificates of insurance on an as-needed basis to demonstrate compliance with contractual requirements
  • Support internal stakeholders looking to assess/procure insurance coverage by gathering and updating required data, collecting exposure data and underwriting information, connecting with brokers, evaluating coverage options, and procuring coverage. Such support includes evaluating and communicating applicable coverage, policy requirements, and insurance-related obligations to internal partners, and liaising with different brokers.

  • Help define process and system requirements related to management of claims and policies
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and advance corporate strategic goals
  • Maintain accurate policy, exposure, premium, certificate, and coverage data in RMIS, policy management tools, spreadsheets, and shared repositories
  • Develop and maintain summaries of insurance programs, coverage matrices, renewal trackers, policy schedules, and internal reference materials
  • Assist with data validation, policy audits, exposure analysis, and reporting for leadership, Finance, Legal, Operations, and other stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve policy documentation, workflows, system controls, and information accessibility
  • Provide policy and coverage support for claims, incident reviews, contract questions, vendor/subcontractor insurance requirements, and internal business initiatives

Education and/or Experience
  • College degree preferred
  • Insurance license(s), designation(s), or coursework such as CPCU, ARM, CRIS, CRM, AINS, or similar credentials are preferred
  • At least 6-8 years of relevant experience in corporate risk management, insurance brokerage, underwriting, claims, construction risk, policy administration, or a related insurance role
  • Experience with commercial insurance policies, coverage analysis, renewals, broker/carrier coordination, and policy documentation required
  • Experience in construction, residential construction, homebuilding, real estate development, subcontractor risk, OCIPs, CCIPs, wrap-up programs, or project-specific insurance strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with captives, self-insured programs, large deductible programs, SIRs, alternative risk financing, actuarial inputs, or loss-sensitive insurance structures is a plus

Preferred Qualifications
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines, renewals, projects, and stakeholder requests
  • Strong technical understanding of commercial insurance coverage, self-insurance alternatives, policy language, endorsements, exclusions, limits, deductibles, and retentions
  • Ability to review and summarize complex insurance policies and translate coverage concepts for non-insurance stakeholders
  • Knowledge of construction-related coverage issues, including general liability, completed operations, builder's risk, pollution/environmental, professional liability, auto, workers' compensation, excess liability, and subcontractor insurance requirements
