Full Job Description
Responsibilities:

Financial Position
  • Own Entrata's Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows forecasting processes, ensuring they are fully integrated with the Income Statement and operating forecast.
  • Manage key Balance Sheet assumptions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued expenses, deferred revenue, prepaid assets, fixed assets, leases, debt, equity, and other material accounts.
  • Develop clear explanations of free cash flow, working-capital movements, forecast changes, and key risks and opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Accounting to understand actual results, close-related estimates, accounting treatments, and significant Balance Sheet movements.
  • Establish visibility into minimum operating liquidity, strategic cash reserves, and deployable excess capital.
  • Analyze working-capital performance and identify opportunities to improve collections, payment timing, cash conversion, and forecasting accuracy.

Enterprise Performance
  • Support consolidated company forecasting, annual planning, long-range planning, month-end variance analysis, and executive and board reporting.
  • Manage consolidated P&L reporting and help explain changes in revenue, margins, operating income, free cash flow, and key SaaS metrics.
  • Evaluate operating leverage, earnings quality, cash conversion, and the sustainability of financial performance.
  • Develop executive-ready reporting that clearly identifies what changed, why it changed, what matters, and what leadership should do next.

Capital Allocation
  • Build financial frameworks to evaluate competing uses of capital, including organic growth investments, product and AI initiatives, acquisitions, partnerships, debt reduction, and other strategic opportunities.
  • Develop business cases that assess return on investment, payback period, cash impact, risk, strategic value, and alternative uses of capital.
  • Support the creation of company-wide capital-allocation principles, investment hurdle rates, and post-investment performance reviews.
  • Partner with business leaders to evaluate major investment proposals and translate analysis into recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Help leadership distinguish between cash required for operations, cash held for strategic flexibility, and capital available for deployment.

Finance Architecture
  • Serve as a key owner of Entrata's financial planning models and systems, including model architecture, data quality, integrations, governance, and process improvement.
  • Partner with Finance Systems and other stakeholders on planning-platform enhancements or migrations without making day-to-day system administration the dominant purpose of the role.
  • Develop scalable reporting, dashboards, and analytical tools for financial statements, cash flow, working capital, liquidity, and capital deployment.
  • Use financial systems, business-intelligence tools, and data-querying capabilities to improve the speed, accuracy, and transparency of decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to use automation and AI to improve finance workflows and executive decision support.

Corporate Strategy Support
  • Support strategic planning, scenario analysis, pricing, packaging, AI monetization, new product investments, and other enterprise-level decisions.
  • Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, international expansion opportunities, strategic partnerships, and other major initiatives.
  • Help translate company strategy into financial implications, resource requirements, expected returns, and measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to provide analytical rigor and independent financial perspective on strategic initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial planning with business objectives.
  • Maintain accuracy in financial forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Communicate complex financial insights clearly to executive leadership.
  • Manage financial systems and processes to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
  • Support capital allocation strategies by providing data-driven recommendations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively by meeting deadlines and managing workload efficiently.
  • Maintain professional interaction with internal and external stakeholders

  • Advanced Excel or equivalent financial-modeling skills and experience with financial planning and business-intelligence platforms.
  • Exposure to treasury, debt, investments, M&A, board reporting, or strategic business cases is preferred but not required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an MBA, CPA, CMA, or other relevant credential is beneficial but not required.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, transaction advisory, treasury analytics, or a related field; SaaS or technology experience strongly preferred.
