The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $112,875 - $150,550 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:What You Will Do in This Role- Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales and business teams throughout the customer contracting process
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements, including master sales agreements, customer terms and conditions, statements of work, software and service agreements, confidentiality agreements, data processing agreements, and partner or reseller agreements
- Identify risks and recommend practical solutions that support business objectives while protecting company interests
- Partner with Sales, Finance, Project Execution, Procurement, Compliance, IT, and other partners to support contract negotiations and successful project execution
- Advise on key contractual provisions, including liability allocation, indemnification, warranties, intellectual property, payment terms, compliance obligations, and dispute resolution
- Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation strategies to improve consistency, efficiency, and governance throughout the contracting process
- Support legal operations initiatives, contract lifecycle management activities, policy development, and employee training programs
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise business stakeholders on potential impacts and risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with external counsel when niche legal expertise or local jurisdiction support is required
What We Are Looking ForRequired Qualifications- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one jurisdiction
- 3 to 6 years of experience supporting commercial transactions, preferably within an in-house legal department, law firm, or a combination of both
- Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated commercial agreements
- Strong understanding of contract law, commercial risk allocation, and customer contracting
- Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives and deliver practical, business-oriented advice
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple business functions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract management systems; experience with Icertis is a plus
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting a global or multinational organization
- Experience within industrial, manufacturing, automation, technology, logistics, or equipment-related industries
- Familiarity with software, cloud services, maintenance agreements, equipment sales, or professional services contracting
- Knowledge of data privacy, intellectual property, export controls, or other regulatory matters relevant to commercial transactions
- Experience developing contract templates, playbooks, approval workflows, or legal training programs
- Spanish and/or French language proficiency
