Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, commercially minded, and versatile Corporate Counsel to join our legal team in Plano, TX. Reporting into the VP, Associate General Counsel, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders across our entire retail, supply chain, marketing, and digital portfolios.

Responsibilities

Commercial Transactions: Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of enterprise-wide commercial contracts (including direct and indirect procurement, software/IT, vendor, and marketing agreements), learning to balance operational speed with robust risk management.

Business Advisory: Act as a reliable first-line legal advisor to internal clients across marketing, merchandising, ecommerce, supply chain, and retail store operations, delivering proactive and highly practical advice.

Agile Legal Support: Take ownership of discrete operational, regulatory, and legal compliance initiatives as they arise based on changing business priorities.

Process Excellence: Collaborate on the design and maintenance of internal guidelines, toolkits, playbooks, contract templates, and training programs to scale legal support across the enterprise.

Outside Counsel Coordination: Under the guidance of senior legal leadership, assist in coordinating with outside counsel and specialized legal advisors.

Compliance Programs: Support the administration and continuous improvement of the company's corporate compliance and ethics programs.

Qualifications
  • Education: JD (Juris Doctor or Doctor of Jurisprudence) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensure: Licensed and in good standing to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction (Texas Bar admission preferred, or willingness to register as in-house counsel).
  • Experience: One to five (1-5) years of legal experience, including foundational experience with commercial transactions and/or complex commercial litigation.
  • Industry Focus: Experience with or exposure to large retail, consumer products, fashion, beauty, or omnichannel commerce organizations is highly relevant.
