Job Summary:

The Corporate Controller is responsible for leading and overseeing all accounting and financial operations of the organization, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across accounting, treasury, tax, budgeting, and internal controls while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. They will partner closely with executive leadership to support business decision-making, optimize financial processes, and strengthen financial governance. This role is also expected to be a technology-forward finance leader who can drive transformation, leverage automation, and promote the responsible use of AI and advanced analytics.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting required; advanced degree preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive managerial experience in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Strong experience in both public and private accounting environments preferred
  • Demonstrated record of progressive leadership, team development, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong technology orientation with experience driving finance transformation, process automation, workflow optimization, and adoption of digital tools, including AI-enabled solutions and advanced analytics


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the monthly close process, including analytical review of operating results to ensure accurate and complete accounting records
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Review journal entries and supporting workpapers to reflect monthly activity and account balances
  • Implement, document, and continuously improve close and reporting processes to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient financial reporting
  • Lead finance transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities to automate manual processes, streamline reporting, improve data quality, and enhance scalability across accounting and finance operations
  • Implement and maintain processes to record transactions by department and compare actual results to budget
  • Serve as the enterprise risk management lead for PLD, including oversight of insurance programs
  • Supervise the preparation of monthly financial reports, periodic reforecasts, and the annual operating budget
  • Perform comprehensive financial analysis from balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow perspectives to support business performance evaluation
  • Use data analytics, dashboards, automation, and AI-enabled insights to improve forecasting, performance visibility, variance analysis, and executive-level decision support
  • Prepare cash flow projections to effectively manage liquidity and maximize returns on excess cash
  • Coordinate preparation of the annual tax return with external CPA firms
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly tax estimates and annual tax filings, including supporting workpapers
  • Lead the annual year-end audit process and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors
  • Coordinate and record investments in funds, securities, and short-term instruments
  • Maintain fixed asset records and coordinate quarterly physical inventory of assets in partnership with the IT department
  • Review and allocate shared expenses incurred on behalf of multiple entities, including software and professional services
  • Design, implement, document, and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and financial reporting standards
  • Support continuous improvement of financial governance, risk management, and control environments
  • Champion the responsible adoption of emerging technologies, automation tools, and AI capabilities within finance while maintaining appropriate governance, controls, data integrity, and compliance standards
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and evaluate accounting staff to build a high-performing team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational objectives
