Shift: Day

Working Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Summary:

The Compliance Officer is responsible for direction and oversight of all corporate compliance, privacy, and security efforts. They coordinate activities related to the Office of Inspector General's 7 Elements of an Effective Compliance Program to ensure compliance with all federal and state rules and regulations, as well as Baptist Health policies. This position reports to the System President.

Other information:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree (MHA, MBA, or similar) or Juris Doctor (JD) is highly preferred.
  • Certification: Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) through the HCCA is required. CHPC (Privacy) or CCEP (Compliance & Ethics) is a preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, or healthcare law within a complex hospital or health system.
    • Demonstrated mastery of Stark Law, AKS, Medicare/Medicaid billing regulations, and HIPAA.
    • Proven track record of successfully interacting with federal and state regulatory agencies (OIG, CMS, OCR).
    • The ability to translate complex regulatory frameworks into actionable, operational processes for clinical staff.


This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
