Job DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities:- May participate with other commercial lenders on larger, more complex loans.
- Interview loan applicants.
- Obtain, interpret and evaluate financial information to determine credit worthiness.
- Develop and negotiate terms and services of commercial loans and accounts.
- Make decisions on loans within limits or make recommendations to management.
- Create a pipeline of secure, profitable loans, deposits and specialty commercial financial services.
- Maintain a customer and prospect database.
- Develop and maintain a balanced and sound loan portfolio in line with established policies, strategies and procedures.
- Structure and price loans.
- Negotiate with customers and obtain necessary approvals.
- Monitor existing loans to ensure compliance with the terms of the loan and take corrective action on variances.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge of:- Concepts, practices and procedures of commercial lending.
- Loan portfolios, capital lines, equipment term loans and commercial real estate and Small Business Administration (SBA) loans.
- Established organizational policies, strategies and procedures for commercial lending.
- Principles of banking and finance.
- Financial markets and products.
Skill in:- Analyzing financial information and determining credit worthiness.
- Negotiating commercial loan terms.
- Maintaining a customer and prospect database.
- Developing and maintaining a loan portfolio.
- Structuring and pricing commercial loans.
- Verifying customer compliance with terms.
- Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications.
