Corporate Associate | M&A & Business Transactions | Portland, ME | $120,000-$160,000You'll advise businesses through mergers and acquisitions and other significant corporate transactions, helping clients structure, negotiate, and execute deals from formation through closing. You'll work directly on matters involving business entities, finance, private equity, and corporate governance while developing deeper transactional expertise.
What You'll GetWhat You'll Do- Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions.
- Represent businesses on corporate and transactional matters.
- Advise on the formation, organization, and structuring of corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies.
- Support finance and private equity transactions.
- Draft, negotiate, and review corporate and transactional agreements.
- Advise clients on corporate governance and general business matters.
- Handle securities law-related matters where applicable.
- Work with clients and attorneys to structure and execute complex corporate transactions.
What You'll Need- 3-5 years of corporate law experience.
- Demonstrated experience handling mergers and acquisitions.
- Experience representing and advising business entities, including corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies.
- Experience with business entity formation and structuring.
- Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and client-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a corporate and business law practice.
Preferred:- Finance transaction experience.
- Private equity transaction experience.
