Corporate Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

Acrisure is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to join our growing team in GrandRapids, MI.

The Corporate Accounting Manager will report directly to theSeniorDirector, CorporateAccounting Special Projectsandwill play a key role in advancing core accounting operations within the Office of the Chief Accounting Officer. This position willleadstrategic accounting initiatives across the organization focusing on special projects with significant implications for the general ledger, financial reporting, and cross-functional operations. The ideal candidate isa strong accounting leader with the ability to drive complex initiatives, influence cross-functional partners, and ensure high-quality execution in a fast-paced international environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadspecial accounting projects related to the general ledger, financial reporting, and organizational transformation efforts (e.g., system implementations, M&A integration, process optimization).

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Corporate Accounting, Acquisitions and Integrations, Business Unit Controllership, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Product, and IT teams to execute high-priority initiatives.

  • Provide leadership and oversight across project teams, including managing workstreams directly or through others, while preparing and delivering updates, recommendations, and key insights to executive leadership.

  • Drive operational efficiencies through automation and improved accounting processes and controls.

  • Serve as a key liaison withexternal auditors and internal stakeholders to support audits, compliance, and project execution.

  • Leadthe development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures across international entities.

  • Drive execution of project deliverables, including documentation, testing, and issue tracking.

  • Stay abreast of emerging accounting standards, fintech industry trends, and regulatory changes affecting the company.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of US GAAP (and IFRS) and internal control frameworks (e.g., SOX)to support project-related accounting decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive execution across multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong project management andchangemanagement skills.

  • Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess accounting implications and recommend practical solutions

  • Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving business and project needs.

  • Familiaritywith ERP& accountingsystems (e.g.,Workday,Applied Epic,Workiva,FloQast, Adobe Workfront).

Education and Experience:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor27s degree in Accounting, Finance, ora relatedfield; CPArequired.

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1-3 years of experience in aleadership role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the fintech, financial services, or technology sectorsstronglypreferred.
