  • Review general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and proper accounting treatment
  • Support the annual audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor requests
  • Analyze financial results and provide budget-to-actual variance analysis
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support consolidation across entities

Full Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Corporate Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. In this role, you will play a key part in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of consolidated GAAP financial statements across a complex, multi-entity structure.

What You'll Do

Financial Reporting & Close
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for corporate and underlying entities
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, reporting packages, dashboards, and analytics
  • Review general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and proper accounting treatment
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting

Audit & Compliance
  • Support the annual audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor requests
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Maintain audit readiness and support control environments

Analysis & Forecasting
  • Analyze financial results and provide budget-to-actual variance analysis
  • Assist with annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting
  • Prepare quarterly cash flow reporting and tax-related calculations

Process Improvement & Controls
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Support the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Strengthen internal controls and reporting processes

Collaboration & Special Projects
  • Partner with Finance, Asset Management, and other internal teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Support consolidation across multiple entities and ownership structures
  • Contribute to special projects and ad hoc initiatives

What You Bring

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-7 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience with financial statement preparation, consolidations, and audit support
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP

Preferred:
  • Experience in real estate, investment management, or private equity environments
  • Exposure to partnership accounting or tax preparation
  • CPA designation (or in progress)

Skills:
  • Strong analytical ability with excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., complex models, lookups, data analysis)
  • Experience with accounting systems (Yardi or similar preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills


Annual Base Salary Range: $86,558 -$108,197. This position is eligible to participate in the company's annual discretionary bonus program.
