Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Director, Clinical Service Delivery, the Coordinator, Hospitalists Program provides contract coordination at the tertiary hospital level for Hospitalists and is the liaison with Medical and Academic Affairs on all issues related to Hospitalists.

The Coordinator is responsible for administering the regular meeting process for all aspects of the VESTED process and is responsible for building and monitoring the Midwifery invoicing process.QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience

A level of education, training and experience equivalent to graduation from a recognized business, health or public administration post secondary program and five (5) years related experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.

Skills And Abilities
  • Well-developed organizational, communication and numeric skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills appropriate to working with all levels of leadership, outside agencies and physicians.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse and fluctuating workload to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to analyze and define problems, establish facts and identify solutions.
  • Proficiency in current personal computer hardware and software technologies.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

This role is responsible for the coordination of the South Island Hospitalist group as well as providing all Administrative Assistant II support to the Executive Director and Chief of Staff for Victoria General Hospital. Position will be held on-site at VGH.
