Full Job Description
Expected pay for this position is $37.88 - $44.57/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Healthcare Emergency Management Coordinator (HEMC) serves as the local subject matter expert on Emergency Management and leads the local Emergency Management Committee. Responsible for implementing Ministry program standards and delivering on the Service Partnership Agreement (SPA). Will develop and maintain a comprehensive local emergency management program that uses an all-hazards approach to facilitate a safe environment for patients, visitors, and Mission Partners.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management or related field (Public Health, Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, etc.);
    • or high school/GED and two years of related work experience (Law Enforcement, Fire, Emergency Management, etc.)
  • Experience:
    • Project management and performance management experience.
    • Experience in roles where key skills of critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, relationship building, and public speaking are needed.
  • Licensure/ Certification:
    • Completion of FEMA IS 100, 200, 700, and 800 within 90 days of hire.
    • Certified Healthcare Emergency Coordinator (CHEC) Certification within 2 years of hire.
  • Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Strong leadership and organizational management skills. Strong writing skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience:
    • Four years of experience in Emergency Management.
    • Two years of leadership experience.
