Position OverviewInternational of Alabama is seeking a
Senior Controls Engineer to interface with fellow engineers, maintenance and production staff to support 2nd shift production on our S13 Diesel Engine Assembly Line. Responsibilities include day-to-day production support, process improvements, design and implementation of controls systems, network, and power distribution for current assembly lines.
The Huntsville facility runs a 4x10 production schedule (Mon-Thurs, 7:30PM - 6:00AM).This role will support production and may need to cover production recovery times including Fridays and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide cross-functional troubleshooting support to S13 Diesel Engine Assembly line during 2nd shift.
- Establish programs and solutions for increasing up-time and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
- Evaluate, select, and order equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products.
- Oversee the development, installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Study equipment performance and reliability.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of product manufacturing experience
OR
- Master's degree and no experience
OR
- At least 3 years of product manufacturing experience

Desired Skills- Experience with the following - Fanuc Robotics, Siemens PLC's, Atlas Copco DC Tools
- Experience with the following vision systems- Fanuc IRVision, Keyence, and Cognex
- Experience with setting up and modifying SQL databases
- Experience with Ignition SCADA system
- Prior experience with MES (manufacturing execution systems) controls
- Experience with AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles)
- Experience designing and installing medium and low voltage power distribution systems
- Must demonstrate ability to be self-directed.
- Must be able to work well in a dynamic manufacturing environment with positive attitude, ethics, and International Values
- Must demonstrate advanced reasoning skills, problem sensitivity, and data analysis
