Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Process/Controls Engineer provides controls / electrical engineering support to the assigned UAP cell and assists maintenance in supporting the plant through trouble shooting / problem solving methodologies to eliminate down time and decrease quality defects to the customer. The Process/Control Engineer will also write / create / modify programs to meet the plant objectives as well as maintain warranty and OEM liabilities.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the Engineering Change Management process
• Responsible for the process design and implementation
• Support continuous improvement
• Support production through problem solving and participation in QRCI process
• Assist production with trouble shooting and programming

Automation/Controls Responsibilities:
• Trouble shooting and programming PLC's - preferably Siemens
• Trouble shooting and programming vision inspection systems
• Robotics - Linear and articulating
• Lean - assembly line balancing, visual factory, Kanban
Process design:
• Define cycle time in line with takt time and standard operations
• Integrate ergonomics principles in line design
• Release manufacturing process documents
• Issue process flowcharts
• Conduct process FMEA
• Support updating plant layout
• Follow-up prototype builds
• Get support from relevant technology experts or support functions
Process implementation:
• Ensure equipment delivery and installation in the plant for continuous improvement
• Carry out process activity analysis
• Implement improvement action plans
• Participate in equipment reception process
• Capitalize on lessons learned and provide best practices

Knowledge / Skills:
• Strong communication skills - ability to interface with other functions - and work with employees at all levels of the organization
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skilled
• Must be very knowledgeable in Process and Manufacturing methods
Education / Experience:
• At least 5 years' experience in automotive manufacturing, including one position in Manufacturing Engineering
• Preferably a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or technical discipline
• Trained in Faurecia Excellence System
• Auto CAD, Electrical and mechanical, Multiple controls logic languages software programming, robot programming, robot programming
• Proficient level of English
