The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations at our Middletown facility. This role ensures compliance with local statutory requirements, while providing accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting. The Controller will lead the accounting team, maintain strong internal controls and support strategic initiatives with the general manager.
So, what will you be doing as Controller?- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate consolidation and reporting.
- Maintain and enhance internal control systems and processes.
- Balance Sheet reconciliations consolidations and reviews.
- Assist with cash management, working capital reporting, and banking compliance.
- Collaborate with FP&A to support annual budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Prepare technical accounting memos and ensure appropriate documentation of significant transactions.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and drive automation initiatives within the finance function.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:- Strong background in cost accounting and inventory management in a manufacturing setting.
- ERP experience (e.g., EPICOR, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Proven leadership ability, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent international certification required.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
