Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Controller is responsible for the accounting operations including production and analysis of periodic
financial reports and forecasts. Supervises a team of accounting/finance professionals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the accounting operations including production and analysis of periodic financial
reports and forecasts.
• Maintain an adequate system of accounting records.
• Responsible for maintenance of comprehensive set of controls and budgets.
• Ensure accuracy of the unit's financial results
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, as well as those of the group.
• Complete ongoing analysis process and production constraints, margin analysis, and tracing
costs back to underlying activities.
• Perform monthly GL account reconciliations.
• Analyze 'plan to actual' variances and product profitability reports.
• Monitor and oversee other location accounting activities including factory A/P and payroll.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
• Must have strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office.
• Able to work as a team with others in the department.
• Capable of managing change, and problem-solving skills.
• Well-developed communication and organizational skills.
• SAP experience preferred.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
Advance courses in Financial Management, Business Law and Computer Science are beneficial.
• Minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience required. Cost accounting background
and experience preferred.
• CPA or graduate degree is preferred
Bilingual skills in English and Portuguese are highly desired.
