Full Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Local Controller with various industry experience to become a permanent member of our Los Angeles team! This role requires 10+ years of overall accounting experience, and you will be responsible for managing the accounting functions for multiple clients throughout the Los Angeles area. Responsibilities: - Serve as client's trusted advisor, demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and team - Prepare engagement deliverables (such as financial statements, technical accounting memos, account reconciliations and other work papers); assist engagement review team to ensure quality control standards are met; ensure on time delivery and on budget - Demonstrate proficient technical skills for handling all client responsibilities, including knowledge of trends, industries, alternatives, etc. - Understand the client's organization, procedures and internal policies - Participate in client meetings, presentations and proposal development - Manage and retain multiple client relationships, engagements and special projects - Responsible for billing and realization on assigned clients - Supervise, train and mentor staff; listen and communicate effectively within or leading a team - Foster a team environment; demonstrates support of management and decisions and build a positive culture - Additional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Accounting, Finance or relevant field - Minimum of 10 years experience in progressive accounting roles, both within public accounting-audit and corporate roles. - Various ERP experience. - Active CPA preferred - Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary - Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally - Proficient use of applicable technology Benefits: - Lot's of room for growth within this organization, wonderful opportunity for a driven individual - Competitive Salaries - W2 Employee Benefits; Health, Vision, Dental - 401K and company match - Paid vacation and sick time #IND2
