DescriptionPerforms accounting duties in a proficient and efficient manner. This includes maintaining and reconciling the General Ledger.
- Coordinates accounting functions and financial report preparation.
- Oversees treasury functions and cash flow projections.
- Oversees all grand accounting/reporting for compliance.
- Leads annual external audit process/liaison with external auditors.
- Performs monthly financial analysis/disseminates to management as monitoring/decision making tools.
- Reviews/coordinates operational/capital budgeting processes.
- Provides tutelage to staff on various aspects of accounting procedures.
- Provides key management with financial reporting to enhance operational performance.
- Provides financial guidance to departmental management; reports monthly within operational areas of focus.
- Performs financial analysis on ad hoc basis as requested by CFO/senior leadership including service line profitability, pension costs, etc.
- Administers timely/effective month end close processes.
- Provides financial reports to CFO.
- Reviews AR aging and coordinates with Revenue Cycle to facilitate collection focus.
- Develops/coordinates financial reporting computer system.
- Oversees preparation/updating accounting policies and procedures.
- Coordinates Medicare reimbursement strategies and reporting processes.
- Coordinates timely distribution of department manpower efficiency reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:- Bachelors Degree Accounting - Required
Additional education requirements:- Certification & Licensures
- CPA Required
Additional Certification & Licensures details- 5 years Banking/Financial Services - Financial Manager Required
- 5 years as Senior Accountant or Controller - Required
- Must have 5 years progressive financial management experience in healthcare accounting environment including extensive experience in third party reimbursement.
