Overview

Our Avondale Dealerships Controller ensures an elevated client experience while creating client advocates and manage the Accounting Department, its personnel, and its functions. Control Dealership assets and liabilities, both legal and financial.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Reviews overall accounting accuracy and completeness of reconciliations to assure company policies and internal control measures are being followedParticipates in annual Operational Planning with all dealerships, developing a plan to cover the needs of the Accounting Department as they relate to the overall dealership plansDevelops actions for projects and goals, maintain reporting, and review reports monthly with the General ManagersPrepares and calculates annual budgets for all dealerships, record in the ADP system, and analyze budget performance monthlyServes as information liaison between accounting and staff to inform on deadlines, changes, and updates.Oversees and prepares for annual auditIdentifies internal control issues by reviewing existing policies, verifying changes in authorized personnel, and communicating issues to the Assistant ControllerKnows and understands the Avondale and Information Securities Policy and adhere to its requirementsAttends weekly department meetings

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and seven years related dealership experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSCPA certification preferred but not required.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 10 pounds.
